Advanced program between the Faculty of Science and Technology, Medan Area University and PT. NSES in terms of waste management in various districts / cities. After dumai, the next city visited was Medan City on the 24th to 26th February 2020, where Medan had the 4th most populous population in Indonesia, amounting to 14,262,100 people where per person produced an average of 0.7 kg of rubbish and the current rubbish all of it was collected at the Marelan TPA in Medan.
The landfill landfill is a very large landfill but as more and more garbage enters the landfill landfill, the location is getting smaller and the garbage is mounting. Waste handling in dumai with dimedan is different, if in dumai it is handled in landfil or planting while dimedan is just piled up (used). Then after we review the treatment, divide the waste into 7 piles of 100 tons of old waste and new waste each.
The process is done the same as in the dumai, each pile is identified first the danger of the risk of chemicals that fly in order to avoid poisoning. Hopefully the solution offered by PT. Hopefully, NSES in collaboration with the Faculty of Science and Technology, Medan Area University, hopefully, within 10 or 20 years will be completed.
